Our Client, a National Charity, require a Senior Press Officer to join their busy Communications and Press team. The Senior Press Officer is required for a period of maternity cover for between 6 and 9 months.
The purpose of the role will be to implement and evaluate an ongoing programme of media activity which is aimed at enhancing and promoting the public profile of the Charity. The Senior Press officer will also be responsible for the implementation of the Charity's communications strategy. Finally, the successfully appointed Press Officer will be required to take the lead on proactive and reactive media liaison, including handling media enquiries, drawing up media plans, writing news releases and organising press conferences and other media events.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate thorough experience of working within a busy press office and be used to working to tight deadlines and delivering accurate work on time.
