Account Manager
The current team comprises the account director, and two account executives whose real expertise lies in media relations. The team predominantly focuses on the marketing side of things, so although the role will include PR, it wont be a sole focus.
Key attributes:
· An ability to build strong relationships with external suppliers. For example, the agency lead on large, sought after account, which means they need to organise their PR, digital and media buying agencies as well as setting the broad marketing strategy. The AM will need to be able to communicate everything that is going on to the rest of the team and ensure everything is running on brief and on budget, having difficult conversations where necessary. We're also working with a major education related client, which will mean they will be taking on a lot more of this sort of work as they open more schools this will also involve assessing and appointing agencies.
· A good knowledge of the whole marketing mix, including design, digital, PR and advertising.
· Very strong organisational and project management skills this is absolutely essential.
· An interest in the public sector. Although we don't need experience as such, they need to be happy to deal with the public sector way of doing things i.e. long waits and tough deadlines!
· A person who clients trust. Relationships are incredibly important in the public sector team, and we've taken work from other agencies based on the fact that clients like us!
The team deal with some very rewarding but some very hard hitting projects. The ideal candidate will have an empathetic nature and a thick skin - someone who can hold their own!
