The Role and Candidate
Seeking:
o Educational ICT (information communications technology)
o Broader education sector – develop/expand knowledge of National Curriculum structure and Key Stages, online and interactive learning, DfES initiatives and policy structure, general issues e.g. personalised learning, learning platforms, etc .
o Knowledge of related media: education national and trade press, TV/broadcast; regional media, public sector press.
The job role includes:
o Client liaison and relationship-building including contact meetings.
o Account management on day-to-day basis
o Co-ordination with admin staff
o Media relations, inc pitching, liaison, editorial meetings, managing interviews
o Writing: preparation and placement of releases/articles/competitions/
reader offers/reviews.
o Co-ordination of photo shoots
o Event management
Education/skillsets:
o Graduate or Post Graduate Degree and/or relevant agency or in-house experience - background in b2b education, corporate or public sector base preferable.
o Microsoft Office skills
o Internet research skills
o Mainland European languages desirable

Seeking a talented individual with a few years agency experience across all aspects of PR and media relations together with account management. Previous technology, public sector or specifically education sector experience a definite advantage, but excellent writing skills, creativity and enthusiasm are the key ingredients for securing this role.
Strong core PR skills and a solid understanding of the PR sector and media relations are a must!
