PR Officer, North London, Middlesex £20,000 - £24,021 pa + 1k. My Client is a large and successful Software Solutions Provider who is looking to recruit a Product Manager to join their growing Marketing team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PR assistance to Marcoms manager
Research and analysis followed by continuous evaluation of an organization or campaign strategy by: conducting focus groups; coordinating surveys; researching recent reports and articles; or commissioning market research.
Initiating and planning PR campaigns: defining goals; analyzing problems and opportunities; liaising with management and clients (internal and external);
Writing and editing press releases, in-house newsletters, speeches, viewpoints and articles maintaining and updating PR information on the organizations website;
Preparing and supervising in conjunction with the marketing team the production of publicity brochures, handouts, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes for press;
Answering enquiries from individuals, journalists and other organizations;
Speaking in public at presentations, press conferences, radio and TV interviews, and meetings;
Developing and maintaining good working relations with the media;
Organizing special events, such as press conferences, exhibitions
Create and Maintain press key contact / publication database
Work on an ad hoc basis on team projects
Working on both pro active and re-active press activities with specific or broad range of media
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Graduate calibre with either 2-3 years in PR or journalism experience in a B2B environment
Excellent IT skills including MS Office
Ideally CIM qualified or equivalent
Excellent communication skills to work within the team and also with external agencies
Focused and high attention to detail
Work on own initiative, brings new ideas and concepts to the team and has a willingness to question the norm
Capability to multi task
Work under pressure
Flexible
Willingness to travel when necessary
