Who are Spotlight Recruitment?
Spotlight Recruitment is a bespoke consultancy that works predominantly with media companies throughout London. Based in buzzy Covent Garden, our clients are within broadcast/TV, PR, design, publishing, digital, marketing, branding, market research, fashion and advertising - so its a vibrant atmosphere and we work with creative talent. We also work with high profile and high net worth individuals and many top-end corporate companies. Covering office support, sales and marketing and human resources we recruit on the permanent, contract and temporary side and clients relish our attitude and dedication. As a boutique recruitment consultancy our emphasis is on level of service to clients and candidates alike. At Spotlight we focus on long term relationships, we offer candidates career advice, interview coaching and IT training to support them at every stage we like to think we do things a little differently and know our clients and candidates would agree.
What do I need?
Its all about personality you will be naturally confident, upbeat and have a charming manner that our clients and candidates will relish. We need someone who loves chatting on the phone and who can forge positive relationships with everybody they meet. Someone who is successful at winning new business and being persuasive - confident to pick up the phone and make that connection. You will be attending media networking events, so having a confident and personable manner is essential. Attending client meetings is a big part of the role, so we need someone who can hit the ground running and give energy and enthusiasm to the position.
The role has the balance of all the areas of recruitment from selecting candidates to interview, advertising roles, sourcing CVs, and then creating that perfect client/candidate match. While we know you will be successful at bringing new business yourself in you will be fully supported in this area allowing you to make the most of it. The role offers you lots of autonomy, and we use a state of the art recruitment database to take all the hard work out of the admin which makes everything run smoothly.
You will have a degree behind you and a strong academic background; you will need excellent attention to detail and communication skills. A sense of humour and an ability to work in a fast pace is absolutely essential! Its essential you have had some office experience, 1-2 years would be really useful but any relevant office experience will be useful.
How would we describe the person we are looking for?
Focused, professional and successful a new business guru with the ability to foster fantastic relationships, an intuitive mind who can pick up leads and turn them into business, and have the ability to delight our clients with a level of service they wont have experienced before. You need to be focused on earning money our salary and commission scheme is exceptional - basic salary is £20-23k with a commission scheme of 30% on top. This means if you excel at your role you can realistically you can earn £40-50K year one, £50-70K year two and £80K year 3 onwards. It is a very achievable commission and it is paid to you on a monthly basis - we dont have a limit on this so the better you are, the more you can earn.
On top of that is 22 days holiday + day off on your birthday (we also close over Xmas and that is given as added holiday), and an annual bonus scheme. Hours are 8.45- 6 Monday to Thursday, and we finish at 5.30 on Fridays.
