Job Description

    In the healthcare practice we work to understand the conversations happening among our clients' customers, patients, physicians, policy makers, and payors, using our expertise to find innovative ways to develop and deliver award-winning communication programmes in a heavily regulated and scrutinised environment.

    About you
    As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the account and will play a central role in the delivery of successful communications programmes. You must have exceptional project management skills and be able to work as part of a team, as well as having a strong understanding on the dynamic media landscape and of the healthcare industry.

    As an Account Manager you will work on up to three accounts and will typically report to an Account Director / Associate Director and work as part of a team of three on each of their accounts (at a minimum).

    Required skills:
    Solid ethical healthcare account /project management experience Experience in leading as well as inspiring and managing teams to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations

    - Managing and coaching junior team members

    - Managing senior internal team

    - Excellent time management of self and others

    - Client relationships - day to day contact, ability to interact with and manage clients, via     telephone, email and face-to-face

    - Excellent attention to detail/quality control across all areas of responsibility

    - Well-developed writing and editing skills - including experience of drafting a variety of different materials to a high standard e.g. press releases, backgrounders, reports, briefs, proposals, etc

    - Good understanding of the evolving media landscape and relevant audiences - print, broadcast and digital

    - Ability to manage projects within budget - including development of project budgets and tracking of fee and cost as required

    - Genuine interest in the healthcare industry

    Qualifications required
    Solid experience of working in healthcare communications (agency or in-house, ideally experience on both international and UK work) Educated to degree level Science background useful but not essential
