Job Description

A well-established, hugely successful Medical Communications agency, with a track record of consistent growth and fantastic results, is now looking for a polished and professional Account Director to make their mark on this flourishing, mid-sized agency with a particular focus on Pharmaceutical Event Management. This is a varied role involving client handling and events management and candidates must have extensive Pharma/Healthcare Event experience to be considered. As Account Director, your primary role will be to lead their result-driven agency team to success. You will help develop this agency's events capability by delivering high-quality programmes to their existing clients and focus on organic growth and helping to build new client revenues.

Key elements of this role include:

- Project management and implementation
- Supplier management
- Proposal generation
- Delegate management
- Financial work
- Operations and internal communications
- Personnel management and colleague development
- Commercial/Account Management and client liaison

You will use your knowledge and awareness of the Healthcare sector and pharmaceutical market to progress and meet client expectations.

- Experience organising events in the pharmaceuticals sector
- Experience managing and motivating teams
- The ability to provide guidance and direction to co-workers
- A strategic mindset and the panache to put ideas in to practice
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- The ability to find solutions to challenges throughout the agency
- A strong sense of priority with regard to meeting business demands
- The ability to delegate and ensure that teams develop
- The ability to make good decisions, manage clients, communicate well and manage finances along with plenty of commercial awareness
