Our well-known client based in Hampshire is looking for a Press Officer to join their team within the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for press activity across the board including journalist enquiries, organising press events and assisting with press office administration. The ideal candidate will have previous media relations experience and should be a self-starter. This is a fantastic company with excellent benefits and a fun working environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
To establish, develop and maintain positive professional relationships with targeted editors and journalists
Agency contact reports and project briefs
Clippings reports and evaluation against campaign and message objectives
Responsible for the management of external agencies in relation to press and campaign activity
Assist in monitoring implementation of projects and ensuring that activity is timely and appropriate
Budgeting
Prepare contingency plans for potential media crises
Build brand identity of projects and create product descriptions
Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred
Previous media relations experience
Good presenter
Able to work within tight deadlines
Good copy writing and proof reading skills
