International PR & Marketing Manager – 9 months - Surrey
International Trade Federation
Maternity leave contract - to start ASAP - could be temp to perm - minimum 9 months based in Surrey.
£35,000 pro-rata/£130 p.d.
Great opportunity to work as part of a small and dedicated team of PR professionals. This trade federation sets the standards for the industry internationally and then promotes those standards.
The role is wide-ranging and includes fashion promotions with the likes of Vogue and Elle, design competitions and trade exhibitions worldwide.
But this is only part of the job...
You would work alongside an additional International PR & Marketing Manager to:
• Develop the trade association's communications strategy for 2009
• Monitor and review the 2008 strategy
• Liaise with the newly appointed external PR agency and assist with fashion press kits, trends materials and publications
• Manage day-to-day updates for their fashion website
• Research and write the quarterly newsletter
• Research and update the International socio-economic booklet
• Prepare and distribute marketing and PR materials to Board, PR Committee and member associations
The PR team reports to the Executive Director, based at the federation's headquarters in Surrey. The Communications Strategy is presented to the PR Committee and Executive Board for approval each year.
While the office is small - 8-strong - the job involves daily contact with members 36 member groups in 32 countries and internationally based consultants and contacts.
Experience:
• Experience agency or in-house - fashion background useful but not essential
• Experience in developing and presenting PR strategies
• Media relations skills
• Project Management skills
• Ability to speak another language helpful
