A leading UK charity that drives to free people from poverty is looking to recruit a new Head of Media and Public Affairs. This senior position will lead the organisations media and PR offering, driving forward the media strategy and presence both locally and overseas.
You will be responsible for ensuring that their campaigns receive maximum coverage across all media, exploiting and creating innovative PR opportunities with influencing key editors and contacts where possible. Your exceptional media skills and experience will enable you to manage any reputation risk and handle potential crisis media quickly and effectively.
Within this role it is essential that you are able to maximise the influence and leverage of celebrities and key influencers, while ensuring the issues the organisation campaigns to publicise are communicated in a clear and accessible manner to a mass audience. Your methods of communication will need to be innovative and challenging in a highly competitive charity sector.
