My client a leading Education Trust based in Reading are see a professional, experienced, able to hit the ground running Communications Manager to join their thriving Marketing Team.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will provide professional management of the Stakeholder Communication aspects of the organisations programmes. All candidates must be able to demonstrate significant experience in planning and delivering complex communication strategies, and be conversant with working in collaboration with Government, Public Sector and partner organisations.
Duties will include:
- Develop a communications strategy and detailed delivery plans for each of the external stakeholder groups to deliver a focused and tailored stream of communications to increase engagement with the programme.
- Implement and deliver the Stakeholder Communications Strategy, to ensure effective communication with all key stakeholders
- Maximise stakeholder communications through the organisations website, working in conjunction with the Web Editor and Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure consistency of message
- Develop and implement the strategy for how partner organisations can be approached to develop reciprocal communications channels
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop marketing collateral as required to inform schools, communities, 3rd tier and other stakeholders of the programme and its benefits.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop a comprehensive and coordinated public relations campaign in order to publicise the organisations programmes and raise awareness
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Regional Delivery Managers and City Challenge Communications Manager to maximise return on investment and to ensure a co-ordinated approach is taken to identify effective and appropriate communications methods and channels.
- Provide and seek market information and analysis to contribute to internal and external reports.
- The role will also involve line management responsibility.

Essential:
- A degree in communications or other professional marketing qualification
- Extensive marketing communications experience
- Experience in stakeholder and communication planning
- Personal presence and gravitas to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Drive and enthusiasm with entrepreneurial skills
Desirable:
- An understanding of the education environment
- Experience of working with partner organisations
- Contract management with Government or Public sector clients
