A global management consultancy firm that helps organisations around the world optimise performance through effective people, risk and financial management is looking for a Senior Support Manager to join their team. The firm provides innovative solutions to client issues in the areas of human resource strategy, design and management; actuarial and management consulting to the financial services industry and reinsurance intermediary services.
Position Description:
As a member of the company's Risk and Financial Services marketing team, the Sales Support Manager is responsible for helping the firm's insurance consulting practice improve its success rate in competitive pitch situations and continually increase efficiency in producing proposals through planning, delivering and measuring sales campaigns. The Sales Support Manager will work closely with the Regional Practice Leaders and take responsibility for hands-on proposal development as well as providing strategic support and recommendations on sales strategy
The successful candidate will have:
- The ability to operate at a strategic level, but also to act at grass roots level, doing the actual work, writing proposals, mucking-in in emergencies etc
- The ability to build and maintain credibility quickly with the firm's insurance consulting practice and senior contacts
- Experience in financial services
- A strong sales success rate
Main responsibilities:
- Actively promote the sales support unit with senior consultants and educate key selling resources regarding value proposition, messages and best-practice selling techniques
- Respond to requests for proposals and provide hands-on support editing proposals and sales collateral, also working with in-house resources to oversee graphics and production
- Support practice leadership in developing and managing local sales campaigns
- Create sales collateral and pitch decks to support local campaigns and/or tailor global materials for use in local markets
- Assist practice leadership with managing and analysing sales management information including calls, leads and pipeline data
- Actively promote sales pursuit capabilities with senior consultants and provide coaching on best-practice selling techniques
