This established Financial PR agency has been established for over 15 years and has an impressive client list. Due to an internal promotion they are looking to expand their team
The Role
The PR Account Manager will work within a team of three people working on several large pensions and investment clients..Reporting to an account director, the PR Account Manager will assist in the development of, and manage the day-to-day implementation of public relations strategies and campaigns developed in conjunction with the Account Director.
Key responsibilities:
·Devise and implement media relations strategies to raise the profile of clients across a wide variety of media including pensions, trade and personal finance media.
·To gain, retain and maintain a wide and detailed knowledge of clients' products, policies and procedures.
·To provide a pro-active and re-active interface between the client and targeted media to ensure favourable and accurate representation in the press and broadcast media, at all times being aware of the wider implications of what is said.
·To maintain regular journalist contact developing close relationships with relevant key journalists.
·To develop quality relationships with clients and to become the regular point of contact
·To effectively manage third party suppliers (PR agencies, media evaluation, database providers)
·Candidate Requirements:
·Solid PR - Public relations experience
·In-house or consultancy background
·Sound experience in the area of media relations, and a well established network of business and financial journalists
·Strong pensions and asset management experience would be ideal but other personal finance (mortgages, current accounts, credit cards) would also be acceptable.
·Good understanding of the UK financial services industry and ideally the pensions and asset management industry
