- Communications Officer - to £35,000
This global provider of financial market intelligence, is one of the worlds foremost organisations in their field. They cover independent credit ratings, indices, risk evaluation, investment research and data and have 7500 people in 21 countries. They have played a leading role for more than 140 years in providing investors with the independent benchmarks they need to feel more confident about their investment and financial decisions. As part of their overall activities they are very active in communicating their views on Europe's economy, industries and companies to the region's financial media and the 8 person strong Communications team in London coordinates media relations and other communications activities throughout Europe.
The role:
• Develop and implement PR initiatives to promote investment services businesses (especially equity research, fund research and index services), in conjunction with retained PR agencies
• Write/edit media releases and articles
• Arrange press conferences, briefings, interviews etc
• Develop relationships with key journalists and relevant internal managers/analysts
• Handle incoming media enquiries
• Create and post content to the intranet and internet sites
• Assist with internal communications activities
Your experience:
• Previous experience working within a communications function, either in-house, for an agency, or in the media
• Experience or knowledge of financial markets - advantageous
• Fluent English (other European language would be an advantage)
• Good team worker
• Enthusiasm and energy
