- Media Manager Corporate Transport/ Logistics – c£40,000
A time of real change is taking place at this global logistics market leader who offer a full range of customised solutions, from international express, overland transport and air freight. They have an international network link in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide they are dedicated to providing fast and reliable service that exceeds customer's expectations. Due to continuing expansion a new role has been created for a Media Manager Corporate to work in conjunction with the Director of Communications to develop the media strategy and provide day to day management of the central press office.
The role:
• Develop the media strategy and provide day to day management of the central press office
• Co-ordinate and manage external PR services in collaboration with the agency
• Write high quality material and provide positive media coverage, respond effectively to media interest.
• Initiate, write, edit and manage approvals for press releases
• Identify and exploit opportunities for media coverage
• Proactive and reactive handling a range of enquiries
• Prepare award nominations for selected industry awards
Your experience:
• Proven experience in a similar role or in an agency environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
• Excellent contacts in relevant media and journalists
• High personal commitment to excel
• Strong writing skills with the ability to turn complex issues into accurate information
• The ability to work in a fast pace environment that requires flexibility
