Interim PR Manager London

Professional Services

45-60k
This is role sits in the London Corporate Communications team of a major Professional Services firm. Your remit will be to position the firm, through the development of media relations and PR activities, as the leading international law firm, taking particular responsibility for the firm's London 2012 Olympics and Paralymics project, which comprises 50% of the role. The remaining 50% takes responsibility for, but is not limited to, the real estate, and dispute resolution (arbitration and environment, planning & regulatory) practice groups. Some project work for the Finance practice is also required from time to time. The role would additionally focus on supporting the firm's energy and natural resources group and its leisure group, plus the firm's social media programme.
Specific responsibilities include:
·Working with key partners in sectors and practice areas to develop effective public relations strategies for their key sector
·Developing relationships with journalist from key sector media.
·Identifying opportunities for partners in the firm to comment on sector issues in the national press.
·Developing, with others, articles, press releases and thought pieces across a range of practice areas for identified sector press.
·Working with the Senior PR Manager and the Head of Marketing and Communications to manage corporate reputation and crisis communications.
·Delivering a programme of regional PR in support of national business strategy
·Ensuring effective monitoring and measurement of the firm's media profile.
The Person
·Degree educated or equivalent calibre with broad public relations experience.
·A general PR background with specific experience in health, real estate, legal, or other professional services PR or significant agency experience.
·Strong Corporate Sponsorship and Crisis Management skills
·Team oriented, flexible and enthusiastic with a committed, can-do approach.
